1. Cost of entry is $55AUD to be paid in full, prior to the commencement of Opening Round (5th March 2026).

2. All tips must be lodged in one of the following ways: By Mobile phone, including SMS, In person or by email (see below for details). 

3. One point is awarded for each winning team correctly tipped.

4. No points are awarded for a drawn game.

5. Administrators of the competition who are also participating in the competition will be required to make their selections available for viewing at closing time. Immediate relatives (spouse and children) of the administrator(s) taking part will also be subject to this condition. All such tips will be made available for viewing on this website (refer admin. tips menu).

6. The administrators shall not derive a profit from the competition.

7. All administrative costs incurred will be borne by the competition.

8. The 2026 Football Tipping Competition will officially commence on Thursday, 26th February 2026, entrants may begin to lodge their tips. Entry into the competition will not be accepted after 6.00 p.m. on Thursday, 5th March 2026.

9. Should a prize remain where there is no winner, the money allocated to that prize will be redirected to one or more other categories at the discretion of the administrator.

10. A weekly round by round report will be available covering results and other details on the competition. Entrants are encouraged to check the website News page Blogs as well as the last sections the weekly round report for updates. Reports covering other categories will also be published see Prizes page for details. All of these reports will be made available on the website for perusal and printing along with other material concerning the competition.

11. The weekly tips of the competition leaders will be displayed for the last 4 rounds (21-24) on this website, after the closing time of each round.

SELECTING WINNERS

Draw a heavy black line through your losing team.

 

HIGHEST & LOWEST SCORES

For Highest score prediction select one of your winning teams and enter total points (goals + behinds = total points) in the column headed 'HIGH SCORE' and adjacent to the team selected.

Similarly for Lowest score prediction select one of your losing teams and enter total points (goals + behinds = total points) in the column headed 'LOW SCORE' and adjacent to the team selected.

Only one prediction is permitted.

WINNING MARGIN PREDICTION

The Winning Margin game is denoted by the unshaded square/cell under the column headed ‘WINNING MARGIN’. Enter the number of points you believe will be the winning margin in the square/cell.

 

TOUGH ONE PREDICTION

Each week the weekly report will indicate the game designated as the ‘TOUGH ONE’. When you have selected your winning team enter your winning margin prediction in points, in the square/cell in the column headed ‘TOUGH ONE’.

LODGING TIPS

​

​The weekly tipping sheets all display the closing time for tips to be lodged by, this means received by administration also. Details appear in the top left hand corner below the Round number​, they will also be published on all weekly reports.

​​​​​​Tips may also be lodged in advance for future rounds.

​

• Should tips be received after the closing time then the first listed game will not be accepted. The home named team will be allocated for this game. All remaining tips for the round will be accepted. 

• If no tips are lodged at all, then the entry will be allocated all home named teams.

• ​​If tipping sheet is not completed correctly then all or part thereof may be considered to being invalid- e.g. no selections made or form partially filled in correctly. Tips deemed invalid shall be allocated the Home named team/s.
