PRIZES
for
2024

NB: Prizemoney for all categories will be announced in the Round 10 Weekly Report.

TOUGH ONE  - Weekly prize

Each week one game will be selected and it will be known as the ‘Tough One’ (TO). Simply enter a winning margin in the square located opposite the teams in the column marked ‘TO’; that’s all you have to do. The entrant that tips the winner and exact margin will be awarded a prize. If there is no winner, then the prize will jackpot until won. If there is more than one correct entry, then the prize will be shared. The Opening Round/Round No. 1 game is Melbourne -v- Western Bulldogs at MCG. The game for Round 2 will be announced in the Round 1 weekly report. Round 3 in weekly report 2 and so on.

HIGHEST SCORE - Weekly Prize

Pick one of your winning teams (in the case where you are picking zero winners - the losing team) and in the box opposite under the ‘Hi’ column enter the total number of points, that’s goals plus behinds you think they will finish with (see example in T's & C's menu for more details). In the event of more than one entry picking the same team, then the nearest prediction (either above or below) will collect the prize. Should there be two or more entries where the margins to the highest score are the same then the prize will be shared. Should two or more teams tie in kicking the highest score then the same rules shall apply. When nominating to pick zero winners, remember your prediction is for the team opposite to the one selected. If the highest score occurs in a drawn game and if the prediction is entered for one or both teams then the entry with the nearest prediction will collect the prize. In the event of two or more entries being eligible, then the prize shall be shared. If no one selects the team with the highest score then the prize will jackpot until won.

LOWEST SCORE - Weekly Prize

Just as you pick the highest score for a winner here you must enter your lowest score prediction for a losing team in the ‘Lo’ column. The same conditions for lowest score prize shall apply as for the Highest Score prize.

END OF ROUND 24 - 1st, 2nd & 3rd DIVISION Prizes

The entrant with most winners, listed 1st, then next best entrant, listed 2nd, and so on will be eligible for the division prizes. If two entrants tie for 1st, then 1st and 2nd division prize money shall be pooled and shared. Similarly if two entrants tie for 2nd, then 2nd and 3rd divisions shall be pooled and shared. If three or more entrants tie for 1st, then all prize money shall be pooled and shared amongst those finishing in first place.

WINNING MARGIN

In each round one game has been selected as the winning margin game, which is identified by the unshaded square to the right of the game and under the column marked ‘WM’. Select your winning team and enter your prediction of the winning margin, in points, in the unshaded square. Five points will be awarded for selecting the winner and up to 10 points will be awarded for the winning margin on a sliding scale, e.g. 10 points for exact margin, 9 for being one off on either side etc. You must have picked the winning team of course to score winning margin points. Points accumulate for all 24 rounds and will be totaled up; the entrant with the most points scored will be declared the winner. If there should be a tie then the prize will be shared. There will be 3 special reports covering this prize, they will be published after rounds 7, 15, and 24.

TOP TEAM

As entrants join the competition they will be drafted into one of 18 teams e.g. Demons, Swans, etc. Each week one team member will be scoring for his/her team as well as themselves and all winners tipped will go to your team. If the team member fails to lodge weekly tips they will be credited with the home named winning teams. All team members picking for their team will be identified by bold blue lettering and blue shading on the weekly report, this means your tipping in the upcoming round. If your entry number is between 1 and 18 then you will be picking for your team in Opening Round/Round No. 1. A sheet showing all Top Team players is available on the Top Team Player List page. The team with the most winners after Round 24 will be declared the winning team, the Top Team. All team members will receive a prize. If there is a tie for first place the winning team will be decided by the best round by round scores, for instance: most 9’s, then 8’s, then 7 winners and so on. Top Team progressive scores will be published in the weekly report while a more extensive score sheet may be viewed on the Top Team Scores page.

2024 FINALS CHANCE - 1st & 2nd DIVISION prizes

During the 2024 finals series you must pick the winner of each game along with the winning margin. Ten points will be awarded for selecting the winner and up to 20 points will be awarded for the winning margin on a sliding scale, e.g. 20 points for exact margin, 19 for being one off on either side etc. Of course, you must have picked the winning team to score winning margin points. The entrant with the most accumulated points after the Grand Final will win this prize. If there should be a tie then the prize will be shared. A weekly report will be published.

PICK THE PREMIERS 2024

At the end of Round 24 and before the start of the finals entrants must pick the team they think will be Premiers in 2024 along with total points and winning margin. The entry naming the correct team with nearest total points and winning margin prediction will be awarded this prize. Winner is first based on closest prediction to total points. Should there be two or more with closest total points prediction then the closest winning margin will be the deciding factor. If there still remains no clear winner after this then the prize shall be shared.
