Two games decided by less than a straight kick and what is quite evident nowadays with the modern game is that holding a substantial lead at some point in a game can be eroded in no time. We saw this a few times during the home and away season.
The Hawks came up against a side that sought redemption for a pathetic performance the week before, but they just couldn't snatch a win with two minutes left in the game. The Giants second fade out of the finals will surely be something for the club to focus on over the summer months. They did have a good year and played some good footy in 2024, the Hawks will continue to grow in 2025, a team to watch for sure.
